22.10.2020
Following a Government Commission decision on 24 April 2020 to improve the sustainability of the Russian economy's development, JSC Rosspirtprom was included in the list of systemic enterprises (in the category 'Production of food-grade alcohol'). According to the minutes of the meeting № 9кв, the company is the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Finance.
JSC 'Rosspirtprom' is state-owned (100% of the company's shares are controlled by the Federal Agency for State Property Management), as well as also being the Russian market's largest producer of ethyl alcohol (in particular, it ships its products to the defence and pharmaceutical industries). JSC Rosspirtprom's corporate structure is made up of nine distilleries and two service companies.
Moreover, JSC 'Rosspirtprom' fulfills its role as the sole executor of the state contract to implement services dealing with the export, storage, destroying and disposal of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and spirituous products, items and key technological equipment. Furthermore, it implements services to export and store seized motor vehicles previously used for trafficking.
Its inclusion in the list of Russia's systemic enterprises gives JSC Rosspirtprom the right to receive crisis response measures in the form of state support if the company's economic situation takes a turn for the worse.
