JSC Rosspirtprom confirmed as an organisation responsible for directing the secretariat of the technical committee for standardization TK 175: 'Brewing and non-alcoholic beverages'

Pursuant to Rosstandart decree from 19 November 2018 № 2383, responsibility for conducting the Affairs of the Technical Committee TK 175's Secretariat 'Brewed Products and Non-Alcoholic Beverages' has been assigned to JSC "Rosspirtprom", which is mandated to financial and structurally support the Secretariat.

While TK 175 operates under the auspices of the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation, its subcommittees PK 1 'Brewed Products' and PK 2 'Non-Alcoholic Beverages' are under the auspices of a specialised scientific institute - the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Brewing, Non-Alcoholic and Wine-Producing Industries. This institute is a subsidiary of the federal state budgetary scientific institution - 'V. M. Gorbatov Federal Scientific Centre of Food Systems', Russian Academy of Sciences.

The following areas are under TK 175's remit for national standardisation: beer (strength between 0.5% and 8.6% inclusive, and beer with a strength of over 8.6% prepared from beer); beer beverages; brewing waste; wooden barrels for beer, malt (brewed malted barley, malted rye, malted wheat, malted corn and other malts); hop cones; yeasts (compressed baking yeast, dried baking yeast, brewer's yeast and cultivated yeast); hop extracts; fermented beverages (cider, mead and others); the production of non-alcoholic beverages; aromatic blends; the production of mineral waters and other bottled drinking waters, drinking water.

In addition, TK 175 has also been assigned the responsibilities of a permanent national working body in the intergovernmental technical committees MTK 91, MTK 66, MTK 74, MTK 152, MTK 154, MTK 176, MTK 223 and their subcommittees in terms of the Technical Committee's defined remit of responsibility.

Alla Borisovna Danilovtseva PhD (Technical Sciences) - JSC Rosspirtprom's deputy Managing Director for Scientific Work - was appointed chairman of TK 175.

Konstantin Viktorovich Kobelev PhD (Technical Sciences) - Deputy Director of Scientific Work at ВНИИПБиВП - the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Brewing, Non-Alcoholic and Wine-Producing Industries.

Elena Mikhailovna Sevostyanova PhD (Biological Sciences)- Head of the Mineral Water Bottling Laboratory at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Brewing, Non-Alcoholic and Wine-Producing Industries.

Anatoliy Petrovich Bachurin PhD (Technical Sciences) - Director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise: Foreign Economic Association 'Soyuzplodoimport'.

Igor Alexeyevich Khavskiy - a member of the All-Russian Executive Panel for small and medium-sized enterprises 'Opora Russia'. Vladimir Mikhailovich Zhirov PhD (Technical Sciences) was appointed TK 175's Executive Secretary - Head of JSC Rosspirtprom's Compliance Department (ensuring compliance with the Technical Committee).

On 29 November 2018, the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation held a meeting with TK 175, after which the secretary of TK 175 was tasked with forming proposals to clarify TK 175's remit and its composition, as well as to come up with proposals for consideration concerning the medium-term national standardisation programme.
